The houseboat is moored at a different location each night. Two tender
boats accompany the KubuQueen and these are used to explore the
channels and lagoons in the area.
One of the world's finest freshwater fighting fish inhabits these
waters and guests have the opportunity to go out on the tender boats
to try their hand at hooking into the mighty Tiger Fish.

Nature Walks can also be conducted on some of the larger islands found
along the river.
The houseboat is moored on the mainland near the town of Shakawe.
It is easily accessible by tar road and Shakawe has a small
international airport suitable for light aircraft.

The Okavango River's crystal clear waters are home to a variety of
fish as well as crocodiles, hippopotamus and otters. They also support
an abundance of bird life. Several species of bird are rare and
endemic to the area. Guests to the area also have the chance to
glimpse a sighting of the rare and elusive Sitatunga antelope.
